The VELUX training programme is a two-year internal course consisting of four modules lasting six months each. The modules cover the areas listed below, and the order of instruction varies from trainee to trainee:
Production
In the production module, you will work in one of the VELUX Group's production companies with projects that may include flow of production, optimisation, the environment and quality assurance, among others.

Support
VELUX Group's support systems support production and sales companies. In this module, you will work with projects that may include product development, market analysis, competition analysis, logistics, marketing, communication and IT, among others.
Sales/marketing
In this module, you will typically be assigned to a specific sales company. You may work with sales tools, marketing, order flow, trade and guarantee conditions, prognosis and other related tasks.
Open module
In the last module, you have the opportunity to choose where in the company you wish to work. You can either work in an area in which you have never worked before, or you can choose to become more acquainted with an area in which you have a special interest.
The training modules can be held in different parts of the country. One of the modules will require you to work in a foreign sales or production company. As a trainee, you should be prepared to travel.
Trainee profile
To qualify for the training programme, you should be between the ages of 25 and 29 and have completed a higher technical or business education with a good result.
The training programme requires flexibility. You must be quick to comprehend new problem formulations, curious and eager to learn. You should also be able to work well with others, be outgoing and articulate in the presentation of solutions to your tasks. In addition, you should be ambitious, both professionally and personally, which will be seen in the level of initiative and independence with which you approach your assignments.
Opportunities
The programme will be especially designed for you based on your educational background. This will give you the opportunity to translate your theoretical knowledge into actual practice. Your training will be very much project-based and you will have some influence on the assignments you receive. Your results and opportunities will be determined to a large degree by your own efforts.
During the training programme, you will come into contact with many different divisions and colleagues from a variety of educational and cultural backgrounds. You will experience first hand that the VELUX Group is a transnational company represented in more than 40 countries around the world. It is our objective to give you broad insight into the VELUX Group so that you can continue in one of our companies after you complete the training programme.
